The APC in Zamfara State has issued a stern warning to the PDP, demanding evidence to support allegations that Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, provided palliatives to bandits. Failure to provide evidence will result in legal action against the accusers.
Addressing the press in Kaduna, APC’s North West Zonal Publicity Secretary emphasized the importance of constructive criticism in politics but warned against slanderous attacks.
The APC accused the PDP-led government in Zamfara of engaging in character assassination against Matawalle.
APC insisted that the serious allegations against Matawalle cannot be ignored and called for substantiation or a public apology from the accusers.
The party condemned the habit of tarnishing its leaders’ image through unfounded allegations, emphasizing that such actions undermine the party’s integrity.
APC warned that legal action will be taken if no action is taken by the sponsors of the alleged fake news by April 14, 2024.
