Northern Youths Hails Plateau Assembly Speaker For Effective, Efficient Leadership

The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria has passed a vote of confidence on the ability of the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan to steer the ship of the Legislature for the socio-economic, political, and cultural development of the state in particular and the country at large.

The association in a press release issued by its national president, Comrade Godiya T. Adams Bogoro and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Easter Sunday, noted with delight that Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan has actually demystify what effective leadership is with his giant strides so far in the Plateau House of Assembly since his emergence as Speaker in November, 2023.

He recalled that the Plateau State Assembly is for the first time in a very long while, working in unison in a bid to achieve the common goal of delivering quality representation by all members of the house just so as to allow the people of the state to enjoy true dividends of democracy.

According to him, the emergence of Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan as speaker of the 10th Assembly in Plateau State is a testament to the fact that Nigerian Youths still have a proper place in the Nigeria democratic and leadership space, thereby giving them reasons to dream while keeping their hopes alive.

Bogoro said, “Speaker Dewan has constituted himself as a beacon of hope for youths across the country, he has not only function effectively as Speaker but as one that has made all the Nigerian youths proud. His acts of humanity to the youths and the downtrodden within the society is one which cannot be overemphasized”.

“The fundamental functions of the Assembly are to enact new laws, amend or repeal existing laws and oversight of the Executive, the 10th Assembly of Plateau State under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan as Speaker is working with zeal and commitment to be made reality and to the satisfaction of the entire people of Plateau”.

He explained that several life transforming bills have been passed by the 10th Assembly of Plateau state under the stewardship of Rt. Hon. Dewan, stressing “Once again, Plateau state is back alive and kicking, and the people are happy”.

The youths association commended the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan and unequivocally passed a vote of confidence on him and the 10th Assembly of Plateau state, saying Dewan has actually availed himself to them as a pattern for all youths of the country to model their lives after.

The youths therefore reiterated their unalloyed support to the Honorable Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan and the entire honorable members of the Plateau Legislature for their explanatory leadership.
