Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for offenses including the misuse of the national currency and damage to legal tender.
Bobrisky, who has recently been at the center of various controversies, was apprehended in Lagos during the night hours of Wednesday and is currently held at the EFCC’s Lagos Command.
In a statement to our correspondent on Thursday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed Bobrisky’s detention, stating that charges will be pressed against him.
Oyewale remarked, “Bobrisky is currently under our custody. His arrest pertains to alleged misuse and damage of the national currency. Our investigation is ongoing, and he will face legal action accordingly.”
