Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, former Zamfara State Governor representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, has distributed 380 cows to leaders, stakeholders, and less-privileged families of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state ahead of the Eid-il-Fitr festival.
The Chairman of Sen. Yari Political Organization, Alhaji Lawal Liman, announced this in Gusau on Wednesday, stating that the initiative aims to support less-privileged families during the festive season.
Recipients include APC state, local government, and ward executives, Islamic scholars, youth and women groups, as well as community leaders across nine of the 14 local government areas. Efforts are underway to extend allocations to the remaining five LGAs and other deserving beneficiaries.
Liman commended Senator Yari for his commitment to grassroots welfare and urged fellow politicians to follow suit in delivering democracy dividends to the people.
He also urged Muslims to utilize the remaining days of Ramadan to pray for peace and stability, both in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.
