In a bid to streamline educational management and ensure the effective deployment of resources, Professor Nasir Garba Anka, the Executive Chairman of Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), has initiated a comprehensive drive to update the Teacher Management Information System (TIMS). This initiative aims to gather accurate and current data on teachers, principals, and headteachers across primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary schools in Zamfara State.
Starting from April 24th to April 28th, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, all educators are urged to visit their respective Local Government Education Authorities (LGEA) to provide their information for TIMS. This directive applies to teachers at all levels of the education system within the state.
The announcement was made by Prof. Nasir Garba Anka, also known as Makaman Sokoto Ta Kudu, who emphasized the importance of accurate data in enhancing educational planning and management. The directive, conveyed through the Public Relations Officer of ZSUBEB, Ibrahim Musa Maizare, underscores the commitment of the state government to improving the quality of education in Zamfara.
TIMS serves as a crucial tool for educational authorities to monitor the distribution of teachers, identify gaps in staffing, and plan for teacher training and development initiatives effectively.
