Tragedy has struck the Kano State Civil Service with the passing of former Head of Service, Umar Shehu Minjibir. The sad news of his demise was announced on Friday by his brother, Sani Shehu Minjibir, on behalf of the family.
According to reports, the cause of Mr. Minjibir’s death is yet to be disclosed. However, funeral arrangements have been made, and his funeral prayers will take place at Al-Furqan Jumu’at Mosque, located at Alu Avenue in the Nasarawa GRA area of Kano city. The prayer session is scheduled for 1:30 pm, immediately after Jumu’at prayers.
Mr. Minjibir was a respected figure in Kano State, holding the traditional title of “Garkuwa Minjibir” in his native hometown of Minjibir Local Government Area. His contributions to the state’s civil service will be deeply missed. The news of his passing has sent shockwaves throughout the state, and condolences are pouring in from colleagues, friends, and family.
