Ganduje must resign’ – N/Central APC stakeholders insist

A resolute demand echoes through the corridors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central region as stakeholders amplify their call for the resignation of the national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. In a formal missive titled “Vote of No Confidence and Request for the Removal of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as National Chairman of the APC,” penned by Mohammed Mahmud Saba and obtained exclusively by our correspondent, the Concerned North Central APC Stakeholders underscore their discontent with Ganduje’s stewardship.

The letter, forwarded to the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), alongside copies to notable figures including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, delineates a palpable dissatisfaction with Ganduje’s leadership. Drawing attention to Ganduje’s contested emergence as national chairman, the stakeholders emphasize a perceived breach of the APC constitution, alleging a betrayal of the North Central’s entitlement to the position post-Senator Abdullahi Adamu’s departure.

As tensions simmer within the party’s ranks, the North Central APC Forum, a consortium of regional stakeholders, adds its voice to the chorus of dissent. Led by Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, the forum urges state chairmen of the party from the region to distance themselves from recent expressions of confidence in Ganduje. Zazzaga contends that such endorsements jeopardize the region’s political clout within the APC, crucial to the party’s electoral triumphs. In a rallying cry for solidarity, he implores fellow stakeholders and governors from the North Central to unify behind their bid for rightful representation at the apex of the party hierarchy.
