The Executive Chairman, Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Professor Nasir Garba Anka, emphasized the indispensable role of School Based Management Committees (SBMC) in advancing education in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.
In a statement issued to The Spectacles by the ZSUBEB public relations officer, Ibrahim Musa Maizare said Prof. Anka made these remarks during a sensitization program organized by the Agric Education Training Program (AETP) Unit of the Department of Academic Services at the Teachers’ Training Development Center in Gusau.
He highlighted that SBMCs are responsible for overseeing various aspects of school administration, including day-to-day operations, staff management, budgeting, curriculum development, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Emphasizing the significance of effective leadership in school management, Prof. Anka stressed the importance of clear vision, direction, support for staff, and fostering a positive school culture.
He assured continued support from the administration, led by Governor Dauda Lawal, for organizations committed to enhancing education in Zamfara State.
In response, Alhaji Nura Kabir Danbaba Gusau, representing SBMCs in the Central zone, reiterated their commitment to ensuring the sustainability of Agric Education programs and the overall development of education in the state.
