Bauchi Govt Commences Registration of Mining Operators

In an effort to revitalise the mining sector and drive sustainable economic growthin Bauchi State, Hon. Muhammad Maiwada Bello, the Commissioner of Mineral Resources, has announced a series of strategic initiatives.

The Bauchi State Government, through the Ministry of Natural Resources, is inviting all mining operators, processors and Mineral Vendors in the state for the registration of Threshold and proper documentation of their information.

The initiative aims to enable the state government to generate real data of all operators, profile them on a designed database for the security and safety of mining communities, environment, and perspective investors.

The exercise has commenced on 24th April 2024 and will end on 2nd May 2024 at the Revenue Enforcement Unit, Ministry of Natural Resources, beside Old Dass Park Road, Bauchi, Bauchi State, from 10 am to 4 pm daily. All required documents must be presented.

A joint taskforce that comprises Ministry’s staff and representatives of BIRS, E-transact, house Committee on mining, local Govt administration as well as relevant security agencies will supervise & monitor the exercise to ensure total compliance.
