The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has urged Muslims to look out for the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah on Thursday evening, June 6, 2024, corresponding to 29 Dhu al-Qadah 1445 H. The sighting of the crescent moon will mark the beginning of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah and determine the dates of Eid Al Adha and the Day of Arafah.
Individuals who spot the crescent moon are requested to report to the nearest court and register their testimony. The court urged Muslims to participate in the sighting of the crescent moon, which will confirm the dates of the Hajj pilgrimage, including the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha.
Eid Al Adha, one of the most significant Islamic festivals, is celebrated on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. If the crescent moon is sighted on June 6, Eid Al Adha will fall on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

“The Supreme Court calls on all Muslims in Saudi Arabia to investigate the crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah tomorrow evening, Thursday, 29 Dhu al-Qadah 1445 H, corresponding to 6 June 2024.
“The sighting of the crescent will confirm the days of Hajj, including the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha,” the post reads.
