BREAKING: Katsina Gov to Give Workers ₦45,000 Each as Goron Sallah

Katsina, Nigeria – In his move aimed at improving the welfare of civil servants, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has announced a substantial financial gesture to support workers during the upcoming Eid el Kabir celebration. Each state and local government employee, including primary school teachers across Katsina State, will receive ₦45,000 as part of the governor’s Goron Sallah initiative.

Governor Radda, who holds a PhD and the national honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), has taken this step to provide financial relief and joy to the workers during the festive period. The announcement was met with widespread approval and gratitude from the civil servants, who see this as a much-needed support amid the economic challenges facing the country.

The ₦45,000 disbursement comprises two components as this; Thirty thousand naira (₦30,000) of the total amount will be provided as a loan. This loan is structured to be repaid over three months, with deductions of ten thousand naira (₦10,000) from the salaries of each employee in July, August, and September.

While fifteen thousand naira (₦15,000) is given as a direct gift from the governor. This portion does not need to be repaid, offering immediate financial relief for the Sallah celebrations.

This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of the civil servants, enabling them to celebrate Eid el Kabir with ease and joy. The governor’s decision to blend a repayable loan with a direct gift demonstrates a balanced approach to providing financial support while ensuring sustainability and fiscal responsibility.

Governor Radda’s gesture is seen as a testament to his commitment to the welfare of Katsina State’s workforce. The civil servants have expressed their appreciation, hoping that this support will alleviate some of the financial burdens they face.

In his statement, Governor Radda expressed his desire to continuously work towards the betterment of Katsina State and its people. He prayed for divine blessings and success in his endeavors to develop the state further.

“May God bless him with grace and grant him success in all his projects for the development of Katsina State,” a senior government official remarked, echoing the sentiments of many workers who benefit from this initiative.

As Eid el Kabir approaches, this gesture by Governor Radda stands as a beacon of hope and support for the civil servants of Katsina State. The blend of loan and gift in the Goron Sallah payment reflects a thoughtful approach to governance and the welfare of the people.
