BREAKING: Sokoto Gov Approves Early Payment of June Salaries Before Sallah

The Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, has approved the early payment of June salaries for all workers in the state, starting from Monday. This decision is aimed at ensuring that workers can comfortably celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

The announcement was made through a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, and released to The Spectacles on Sunday. Bawa emphasized that the early payment covers state civil servants, local government staff, and pensioners.

“The payment covers state civil servants, local government employees, and local government education authorities. It also includes pensioners across the state,” the statement read.

Governor Aliyu extended his best wishes to the entire Muslim Ummah for a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration. The governor also highlighted his administration’s commitment to timely salary payments, noting that since taking office, he has consistently ensured that workers receive their salaries between the 20th and 21st of each month.

This proactive measure underscores Governor Aliyu’s dedication to the welfare of Sokoto State’s workers and retirees, ensuring they can fully partake in the festive season without financial strain.
