BREAKING: South-West Govs Convene in Lagos for Crucial Meeting

LAGOS – The six governors of the South-West geo-political zone are meeting today at the Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja. The meeting, hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is seen as a pivotal gathering to discuss pressing regional issues.

By 11:30 a.m., three governors had already arrived at the State House. Among the early arrivals was Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun. The other governors in attendance are Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Luky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, and Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State.

Although the specific agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, sources suggest that discussions will likely focus on the ongoing minimum wage negotiations between organized labor and the Federal Government, the security situation in the region, and other urgent state matters.

As of noon, all the governors had arrived, and the closed-door meeting commenced promptly. State House correspondents are expected to receive a briefing following the meeting.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
