Zaria Hotels to be Converted into Classrooms, Hostels for Aviation College – FG

The Federal Government plans to convert Zaria Hotels in Kaduna State into classrooms and hostels for the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, according to Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo.

Keyamo announced the acquisition of Zaria Hotels as an annex to NCAT during a familiarisation tour of the institution on Wednesday. He highlighted that this move aims to enhance the growth potential of the college.

“NCAT remains the best institution for the aviation industry in Nigeria and West Africa. The landmass we have here is enough for expansion, so the potential for the college is great,” Keyamo said. “Despite that, we have also acquired Zaria Hotels as an annexure to the college. We want to add to the facilities on the ground.”

The minister assured the college management of the government’s continued efforts to address areas needing improvement. He also dismissed rumors about relocating the college’s fire simulator and other facilities, calling them baseless.

“There is nothing like that; if we do it, where are we going to take it? NCAT is the training hub for the aviation industry; the rumour is being spread by mischief makers,” Keyamo stated.

Acting Rector of NCAT, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe, expressed gratitude to the minister for his visit and support for the college.
