VIDEO: Nigerian Army Arrests Woman Supplying Ammunition to Terrorist in Katsina

Aisha Abubakar was apprehended by Nigerian army forces for allegedly delivering ammunition to terrorist organizations in Katsina State.

Reports indicate that the arrest took place during a routine stop-and-search operation aimed at addressing the state’s rising armed insurgency.

Security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist Zagazola Makama stated on Monday that officials discovered ammunition in Abubakar’s baggage during the search. Initially, the suspect denied any involvement, but later admitted to transporting the ammunition to terrorist groups.

“During interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina State. This incident underscores the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and the critical importance of vigilance in preventing the spread of illegal weapons,” Makama said.

In a related incident, the community of Maidabino in Danmusa Local Government Area, Katsina State, suffered a severe attack by a large group of bandits. The nighttime assault resulted in the tragic deaths of nine people and the abduction of fifty residents, primarily women and children.

According to a local source, who spoke on condition of anonymity for safety reasons, the bandits operated with impunity, overwhelming local security forces. The attackers set fire to nearly ten homes, fifteen stores, and nine vehicles.

The source explained, “Some traders returning from Yantumaki market on Friday, traveling in a convoy of about 30 vehicles with a military escort, had to stay overnight in Danmusa because they encountered bandits along the way. During the encounter, some bandits were killed by the military escort. Unfortunately, the bandits later mobilized a large force from Zamfara and other areas, overpowering the soldiers stationed in Maidabino.”

Katsina State has recently experienced a resurgence of deadly bandit attacks, particularly in frontline local government areas such as Kankara and Danmusa.

Katsina police spokesman ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu confirmed the incident to the press, stating that an investigation is ongoing and further details will be provided in due course.
