The Federal Government, through the National Economic Council (NEC), has approved the appointment of six state governors as members of the Board of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC). The appointed governors represent each of the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria and hail from Borno, Katsina, Imo, Ekiti, Kwara, and Akwa Ibom States.

In another significant move to support Nigerian families, President Tinubu has approved an uplift grant under the National Construction and Household Support Programme. This initiative aims to deliver financial assistance to 3.6 million Nigerian families, with each state receiving between ₦50,000 and ₦100,000 for a three-month period.
The disbursement of these funds will occur over three months, ensuring that the targeted families receive timely support. According to presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale, this program is part of the administration’s broader efforts to alleviate poverty and stimulate economic activity at the grassroots level.
