JUST IN: Police Arrest Suspects Over Abduction of Rarara’s Mother

Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have successfully apprehended two suspects in connection with the recent abduction of Hajiya Ibrahim, the mother of renowned Northern Nigerian singer Dauda Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara.

This development was announced on Friday by the command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu. According to Aliyu, the suspects are currently being interrogated by the authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.

In a statement released by the police, Aliyu detailed the incident: “Today, Friday, June 28, 2024, at about 01:30 hrs, information was received at the Danja Divisional Police Headquarters that some suspected kidnappers silently invaded the residence of one Hauwa’u Adamu, female, aged 75 years, of Kahutu village, Danja LGA, Katsina State, and kidnapped her.”

Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Danja, along with a team of operatives, promptly responded by rushing to the scene with the goal of apprehending the culprits and ensuring the safe rescue of the victim.

During the course of the investigation, two suspects were arrested for questioning. ASP Aliyu noted that further developments would be communicated as the investigation proceeds.

The swift response and subsequent arrests highlight the commitment of the Katsina State Police Command to tackling criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents.
