2027: Bauchi Labour Party Support Group Calls For Unity, Inclusivity

BY KHALID IDRIS DOYA, Bauchi

A Support Group of the Labour Party (LP) in Bauchi state under the chairmanship of Elder Musa Abel has expressed optimism that the party will hold an all inclusive conversation from ward to the national level ahead of 2027 polls.

He said, “An inclusive convention, from the ward to the national level is essential to guarantee peace and stability in the Labour Party. Such inclusivity will ensure that all voices are heard so that we can present a common united front”.

The group chairman explained in a press conference in Bauchi weekend that the approach will also pave the way for addressing the issues encountered in the general last elections, particularly the lack of agents in some polling units.

Abel expressed confidence that by conducting legitimate and inclusive congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels, party members can establish a formidable grassroots structure that will address the gaps faced in past elections.

Elder Abel however observed that despite the challenges and setbacks Labour Party faced in the last presidential elections, members have to a certain level united and worked towards bringing lasting peace and stability into the party.

“To this end, we must stand united against the prevailing mis-governance and the consequent hardships toiling on the citizens. Our focus must be on ensuring success in the next elections, and this can only be achieved through unity and collaboration within our party”.

Elder Musa Abel therefore called on members, especially factions of the Labour Party, as well as all stakeholders, to set aside their differences for the greater good of the party and their beloved country.

“All hands must be on deck to support our leader, Mr. Peter Obi who symbolizes transparency, competence, and capacity. His quest to strengthen our party amidst challenges is commendable, as he needs our collective support to move the party to unprecedented heights”, he said.

Abel further explained that the vision of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi for a better Nigeria is one that all party members should share and strive to achieve the desired goals

Abel concluded, “Let us seize this opportunity to come together, unite in our resolve to build a stronger and more cohesive Labour Party, Our unity is our strength, and together we can achieve great things for Nigeria”.
