The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has initiated efforts to address internal challenges affecting the party’s peace and unity.
To foster unity, the party has started holding monthly meetings that bring together all its members.
According to a statement by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris, these meetings are conducted across all 14 local government areas of the state and are attended by critical stakeholders, state party executives, local government and ward executives, youths, and women.
In Gusau Local Government Area, the meeting was chaired by the state Chairman, Tukur Danfulani. In Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji, the meetings were attended by the immediate past chairman, Lawali Liman, and the state secretary, Ibrahim Dangaladima.
Sani Musa, a former state secretary, attended the meeting in Talata-Mafara. In other local government areas, notable party chieftains, including members of the House of Representatives and state assembly members elected under the party’s platform, were present.
The meetings also acknowledged the contributions of leaders and elders, especially welfare packages from the state leader and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed, and Senator Abdulaziz Yari.
The party leaders and representatives reviewed security concerns affecting Zamfara State and the region, among other crucial issues.
