The Katsina state government has launched the sale of modern fertilizers in Batagarawa local government to support the local community.
The chairman of the committee, Dr. Abubakar Tsanni Soja, announced that the sale would commence on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the main warehouse in Batagarawa town.
In his speech at the launch, Dr. Abubakar Tsanni praised the Katsina state government for providing modern fertilizers to assist the poor in farming. He urged the local residents to use the fertilizers correctly for the benefit of themselves and the community. Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda also emphasized the importance of proper fertilizer use.
Representing the Barden of Katsina, Hakim Ajiwa, Magaji Jino Alh Bello Sani Jino expressed gratitude to Governor Radda for his efforts in supplying the fertilizers. Additionally, Alh Musa Dalhatu, speaking on behalf of the people of Batagarawa, noted that this initiative marked the first significant government action in over six years, thanking Governor Radda and encouraging farmers to use the fertilizers appropriately.
The fertilizer distribution event was attended by various stakeholders, including APC party leaders and security officers, ensuring a smooth process.
