Zamfara Govt Oders Immediate Reopening of Magami, Danjibga Cattle Markets

The Zamfara State Government has approved the immediate reopening of the Magami and Danjibga cattle markets in Gusau and Tsafe local government areas. This decision comes after a notable improvement in the security situation in these areas.

The announcement was made in a statement signed and issued by the Commissioner of Information and Culture, Comrade Mannir Muazu Haidara. According to the statement, the reopening of the cattle markets takes effect from Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

In light of this development, the state government has directed the leadership of the affected cattle markets to take note of the reopening and to actively monitor the activities of the cattle marketers. The aim is to ensure the proper conduct of business activities within the markets.

Furthermore, the state government emphasized the importance of adhering to the law within the cattle markets. It issued a stern warning that any breach of conduct in business activities could lead to the immediate closure of the markets.

The reopening of these markets is seen as a positive step towards normalcy and economic revival in the region, provided that the security situation continues to improve and all stakeholders adhere to the regulations set forth by the state government.
