Troops of the Nigerian Army ambushed a group of terrorists planning an attack in Kaduna State, successfully neutralizing one and recovering weapons.
Acting on credible intelligence, the army deployed troops to counter the terrorist threat in the Mallum forest area. The terrorists, traveling on motorcycles, were intercepted by the well-positioned troops who engaged them, thwarting their planned attack.
During the confrontation, one terrorist was killed while the others fled into the forest. The troops prevented a potential attack on innocent civilians and seized various weapons and items, including an AK-47 rifle, magazines, ammunition, motorbikes, a Techno phone, head warmers, face masks, and a magazine jacket.
The army’s statement emphasized the troops’ dedication to maintaining security in the region. The intensified efforts by the troops aim to prevent further threats and ensure the safety of Kaduna’s citizens.
“The successful operation underscores the commitment of our forces to safeguarding lives and property,” the statement read. The public is encouraged to continue supporting the troops in their efforts to address security challenges.
