Leaders of organized labour have arrived at the Presidential Villa for a crucial meeting with President Bola Tinubu. The delegation, comprising representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), arrived at 2 pm in a white Toyota Hiace Bus and was ushered into the President’s office.
According to sources, the meeting is expected to focus on negotiations for a new minimum wage for workers, to end long-standing demand of the labour unions. The outcome of today’s meeting is likely to have far-reaching implications for the country’s workforce and the economy at large.
