BREAKING: Tinubu, APC Govs Hold Urgent Meeting Over Nationwide Protest threat

President Bola Tinubu and Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This meeting aims to address the government’s response to the planned nationwide protest.

In response to the protest news, the government has been taking steps to address the concerns of aggrieved Nigerians.

President Tinubu has recently urged those planning to protest to hold off and wait for his administration’s response to their grievances.

After a recent closed-door meeting of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) in Abuja, Imo State Governor and PGF Chairman, Hope Uzodimma, announced plans to engage with the protest organizers to understand their issues and seek solutions.

“We don’t know what they are protesting for. We invite all of them to sit down with us in a room so we can discuss and agree on the issues, what they are and proffer solutions,” said Uzodimma. “We are committed to the unity of the country and to improving the lives of Nigerians by creating prosperity and jobs for young graduates.”

The Governors, who arrived at the Villa in a bus, were promptly ushered into the President’s office. Among those present were Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and Bassey Otu (Cross River).
