Details of APC Governors Meeting on Plan to Mitigate August 1 Protest

The governors of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is committed to addressing hunger and insecurity in the country.

According to Naija News, this assurance followed a two-hour, closed-door meeting of the APC Governors’ Forum. Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Forum’s chairman, briefed reporters on the meeting’s outcomes and urged protest organizers to opt for roundtable dialogue instead of demonstrations.

Uzodimma emphasized that President Tinubu’s administration is determined to resolve the nation’s economic challenges. The forum also highlighted the importance of improving agriculture at the state level to enhance food security.

The APC Governors stated that they would present the details of their meeting to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, which will then communicate final decisions to President Tinubu.
