The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reported that its job application portal is currently down due to an unexpected surge in traffic.
NNPC had opened applications for various positions on Friday, with the deadline set for August 20. However, the heavy influx of visitors has caused the website to display server error messages.
In a statement on X, NNPC explained that their technical team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
“Due to an unprecedented number of applicants visiting the NNPC Ltd. career page, the site is experiencing slow load times,” the statement reads. “Our technicians are working diligently to fix the problem. The application deadline remains August 20, 2024.”
The company reassured candidates that the recruitment process would be transparent and based on merit, encouraging qualified Nigerians to apply.
