Professor Lawal Mayanchi of Federal University Gusau Passes Away

With profound sorrow, The Spectacles received the announcement of the passing of Prof. Muhammad Lawal Mayanchi, the distinguished Dean of the Post Graduate School. Prof. Mayanchi passed away today in a hospital in Kano after a prolonged illness. His funeral will be held tomorrow at BUK Old Site at 12:00 pm.

Prof. Mayanchi’s death is a significant loss for the university community and the nation at large. His contributions to academia and the development of postgraduate studies at Federal University, Gusau, were invaluable. He was known for his dedication to education, his profound knowledge, and his commitment to the advancement of his students and colleagues.

Throughout his tenure, Prof. Mayanchi was a beacon of wisdom and a mentor to many. His legacy includes numerous scholarly works and the nurturing of countless students who have gone on to make significant contributions to various fields. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
