BREAKING: Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Dies in London

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, has passed away. Reports indicate that he died in a hotel in London, United Kingdom, two days after arriving in the city.

The news of his death was first shared in a group chat primarily consisting of senators, many of whom have begun to pay tribute to the late senator.

Senator Ubah was a notable Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, and businessman. He was the founder and CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), established in 2001. Ubah was married to Uchenna, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, and they had five children. He also ran the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, named in his honor.

In September 2022, Ubah narrowly escaped an assassination attempt when gunmen attacked his convoy on the way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State. During the attack, at least five people, including two policemen, were killed. Ubah survived because his vehicle was bulletproof.

Further details will be provided as they become available.
