BREAKING: Tinubu Presides Over FEC Meeting at Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu is currently leading a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Attending the meeting alongside the ministers are Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, and Head of Civil Service of the Federation Folashade Yemi-Esan.

In the previous meeting, the council instructed the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, to propose additional measures for the 2024 budget to address financial gaps arising from the new minimum wage implementation.

The council is expected to receive updates on this matter, as well as the directive for distributing 740 trucks of rice to the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
