Tinubu Holds High-Level Security Meeting to Address National Concerns

President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a critical National Security Council meeting at the State House in Abuja. This high-stakes gathering, which brings together top security and law enforcement officials, is taking place in the President’s office amidst ongoing nationwide protests fueled by concerns over hunger and governance issues.

The meeting follows President Tinubu’s recent nationwide address, in which he called on protesters to end their demonstrations. Despite his appeal, the organizers have rejected his request, vowing to continue their efforts.

In attendance at the meeting are key government figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. Also present are prominent leaders in the security sector: Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, the heads of the three military branches, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, Director-General of the Department of State Services Yusuf Bichi, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency Ahmed Rufai, Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service Adewale Adeniyi, and Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service Kemi Nanna Nandap.
