Outgoing Head of Service Esan Introduces Successor to President Tinubu

On Friday, Mrs. Folashade Esan, the outgoing Head of Service of the Federation, officially presented her successor, Mrs. Esther Wilson-Jack, to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Esan commended the President for facilitating a smooth transition, noting that Wilson-Jack had spent several weeks under her guidance, gaining valuable experience for the role.

“I am confident that Wilson-Jack is well-prepared to hit the ground running,” Esan remarked. “We had a productive discussion with Mr. President, during which he shared his vision for the country, particularly in relation to the civil service. This will equip the incoming Head of Service to effectively implement the President’s plans.”

Esan further praised Wilson-Jack, describing her as capable, intelligent, hardworking, and a professional with a strong sense of empathy. “I have no doubt that she will excel in this role. It’s crucial for her to understand that the civil service is key to delivering on the President’s promises to the nation. She must ensure that the service remains proactive in fulfilling these commitments.”

In her remarks, Wilson-Jack expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the appointment, viewing it as a divine assignment. “I assured Mr. President that, by God’s grace, I will not disappoint him,” she said. “I come as a servant to work collaboratively, not only with the permanent secretaries but also with the directors and the entire civil service, to help realize the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
