BREAKING: Jonathan, Buhari, Other Members Pass Vote of Confidence on Tinubu

The National Council of State has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, affirming their support for his leadership and ongoing efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges.

The council, which comprises former heads of state and other key national leaders, commended President Tinubu for his initiatives aimed at stabilizing the nation during a crucial period. The meeting, held at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, marked Tinubu’s first Council of State gathering since assuming office.

Among the attendees were former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, along with former Heads of State Yakubu Gowon, who participated virtually. Notably absent were former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

In addition to these former leaders, several state governors were present, including Alex Otti of Abia State, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, who joined the meeting virtually. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, attended the meeting in person.
