Zamfara Govt Reopens Schools for JSS Students to Write BECE Exams

The Honourable Commissioner of Education, Science, and Technology, Malam Wadatau Madawaki, has announced the reopening of all schools across the state for the continuation of the Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) exams. This decision follows the recent closure of schools due to the nationwide hunger protests, which began on August 1 and ended on August 10, 2024.

The Commissioner confirmed that the exams are scheduled to take place from Wednesday, August 14, to Friday, August 16, 2024. This reopening applies exclusively to JSC 3 students who are currently taking their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The state government urges all eligible students to prepare accordingly and assures that necessary measures are in place to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
