Kaduna Electric has announced a power outage affecting the areas of Gusau and Talata Mafara in Zamfara State. The announcement was made on August 19, 2024, by Abdulazeez Abdullahi, the Head of Corporate Communication for the company.
In the statement, Abdullahi explained that the outage is due to the tripping of the 132KV Funtua-Gusau Transmission Line. He assured residents that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is currently patrolling the line to identify and rectify the issue.
“We sincerely apologize to our valued customers in Gusau and Talata Mafara for the outage currently being experienced,” Abdullahi said. “Supply shall be restored as soon as the TCN team completes their work. We deeply regret the inconvenience this disruption has caused.”
Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain patient as efforts are underway to restore power as quickly as possible.
