Zamfara Govt Denies Appointment of Bashir Hadejia, Labels Document as Fake

The Zamfara State Government has dismissed as counterfeit a document circulating that claims to be an appointment letter for Bashir Hadejia as “Technical Adviser on Mining.” The purported letter, attributed to the Office of the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, is reportedly a fabrication.

Governor Dauda Lawal’s office confirmed that no such appointment has been made, and Bashir Hadejia has not been given any role in the current administration. The government denounced the document as an attempt by mischief-makers to mislead the public and tarnish the reputation of the governor.

Suleman Ahmad Tudu, Senior Special Assistant (Media) in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, issued a statement urging the public and media to disregard the forged letter. He emphasized that the document does not meet the official standards of correspondence from the Secretary’s office, citing discrepancies in content quality, arrangement, and seal.

This clarification aims to prevent any misinformation and ensure that the public remains informed about the genuine activities of the Zamfara State Government.
