Matawalle Orders CDS to Hunt Down Killers of Sokoto District Head

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has condemned the brutal killing of Alhaji Isa Bawa, the Head of Gatawa District in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State. He described the murder as heinous and intolerable, vowing that the perpetrators would be swiftly brought to justice.

In a statement, Matawalle said, “The killing of Alhaji Isa Bawa is a senseless and brutal act that will not be tolerated. We will do everything in our power to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”

Following the incident, the Minister directed the Chief of Defence Staff to immediately launch a thorough investigation into the murder and ensure that those responsible face justice.

“Security is a top priority for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been providing full support to the military,” Matawalle emphasized. He assured the public that the Armed Forces of Nigeria would leave no stone unturned in tracking down the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Matawalle also extended his deepest condolences to the family of the late District Head, the people of Gatawa, and the entire Sokoto State Government, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians.
