Tinubu to Meet Chinese President in Beijing for Strategic Talks

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to meet with the President of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing during the first week of September, according to presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale.

While the exact date of President Tinubu’s departure to Beijing has not been confirmed, Chief Ngelale noted that the Nigerian leader will hold a series of high-level meetings with his Chinese counterpart and engage with the CEOs of 10 major corporations to discuss economic collaboration.

President Tinubu’s visit will focus on bilateral agreements and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including the green economy, blue economic development, and national planning.

The discussions will also cover issues of national, regional, and international security, with particular attention to the completion of the Abuja to Ibadan segment of the Lagos-Kaduna standard gauge railway.

Additionally, the agenda will include strategic talks on information technology, oil refining, oil and gas, and satellite technology.
