The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero, and General Secretary, Emma Ugboaja, have been summoned by the Nigeria Police Force to appear at the Force Headquarters on September 5, 2024. This is the second time in less than 24 hours that Ajaero has been called in for questioning.
The fresh summons requires Ajaero and Ugboaja to answer questions regarding alleged criminal intimidation, conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace, and malicious damage to properties. The invitation is from the Force Intelligence Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force, Force Headquarters.
This development comes after Ajaero’s initial appearance at the police station, where he was questioned over alleged criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.
