Hackers Hijack Kano Hisbah’s Facebook Page, Post Nudes, Other Explicit Content

Hackers have taken control of the official Facebook page of the Kano State Hisbah Board, posting inappropriate and explicit media. The breach, which occurred on Wednesday, has sparked widespread outrage from the public.

The Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, confirmed the incident on Friday, assuring the public that the board is addressing the situation.

“We are aware that the Kano State Hisbah Board’s Facebook page has been hacked, and inappropriate content is being shared. On behalf of the board, I urge the public to assist in resolving this issue,” Sheikh Daurawa said.

He added that the board’s ICT department is actively working to regain control of the page and is in discussions with Meta to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The public has been encouraged to report the hacked page to Meta to help prevent further dissemination of explicit content.

Sani Zailani, Head of ICT at the Hisbah Board, revealed that this is not the first time the account has been compromised. He assured that Meta has been contacted and has promised to resolve the issue within 48 hours.

Zailani expressed gratitude for the public’s support and concern, emphasizing that efforts are ongoing to recover and secure the page.
