Ibrahim Milgoma, a former Chairman of the Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away. The PDP made the announcement in a statement released on Wednesday, confirming that Milgoma died on Tuesday following a prolonged illness.
The party expressed deep sorrow over his passing, calling it a significant loss not only to the PDP in Sokoto State but also at the national level. The statement highlighted Milgoma’s contributions to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria, noting his role as a respected leader and distinguished gentleman.
“The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and respected leader who contributed immensely to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria in general,” the statement read.
Reflecting on his leadership, the PDP praised Milgoma for his dedication and commitment, which they credited with securing the party’s success in the 2019 general election in Sokoto State.
The Sokoto PDP Chapter extended prayers for Milgoma, asking that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, rewards his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus, and grants his family and the entire state the strength to cope with this profound loss.
