In a bid to address the ongoing food crisis, the Federal Government has introduced the sale of subsidised milled rice at ₦40,000 per bag.
The initiative was officially launched by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, during a ceremony in Abuja on Thursday. The program aims to provide relief to Nigerians affected by rising food prices.
Under this scheme, each individual will be limited to purchasing one bag of rice to ensure fair distribution. The initial phase of the sales is targeted at public servants.
Further details are expected to be released as the initiative unfolds.
