BREAKING: APC Admits Tinubu’s Reforms Have Increased Economic Hardship

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has acknowledged that the economic reforms implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration have led to increased hardship for Nigerians. This admission came through a statement issued on Tuesday by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The statement was in response to accusations made by a former APC National Vice Chairman (North West), Salihu Lukman, who criticized both the current and former administrations for failing to deliver on their campaign promises. Lukman specifically targeted ex-President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu, accusing them of disappointing Nigerians.

Morka, however, defended the current administration, describing the reforms as necessary steps to address long-standing issues in the economy. “The APC-led administration of President Tinubu is taking bold measures to reset our country’s long-broken economy, improve national security, and restore sustainable development,” Morka stated.

He conceded that the reforms had indeed intensified economic difficulties for citizens but emphasized that avoiding these changes was part of the reason the economy had struggled for so long. “The unwillingness of previous administrations to undertake these reforms and tackle the problems at their roots is why the economy has remained in the doldrums for a long time,” he explained.

Morka also challenged opposition leaders to come together and work diligently if they hope to unseat the APC in the 2027 elections.
