Zamfara North Senatorial District – In a bid to tackle unemployment and promote economic growth, Senator Yau Sahabi Kaura has sponsored the tailoring training of 200 young men and women from two local governments in his constituency.
The training program, which was held in Senator Sahabi Ya’u Kaura Town Hall Kaura Namoda, equipped the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to become self-employed tailors. To ensure their success, Senator Ya’u provided each participant with a brand-new tailoring machine.
This initiative is part of Senator Sahabi’s commitment to empowering the youth and promoting economic development in his constituency. By providing young people with vocational skills and equipment, he aims to reduce poverty and unemployment, and create a brighter future for the people of Zamfara North.
In his statement during the ceremony, Alh. Ibrahim Umar (Dan Malikin Birnin Magaji) Zamfara State Secretary of All Progressive Congress APC who is representing the Senator said “I am proud to support the youth of my constituency in this way,” said Senator Yau. “I believe that by empowering them with skills and resources, we can unlock their potential and create a more prosperous future for our community.”
The beneficiaries, who were selected from Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji Local Government’s in Zamfara North senatorial district, expressed their gratitude to Senator Ya’u for the opportunity. “This training and equipment will help us to start our own businesses and become self-sufficient,” said one of the beneficiaries. “We thank Senator Kaura for his support and encouragement.”
