The Zamfara State Government has formed a 38-member fundraising committee to support the State Security Trust Fund, an initiative created by Governor Dauda Lawal to address security challenges in the region. The announcement, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammed Nakwada, highlights the inclusion of prominent individuals from various sectors across the state.
This move, according to a statement by Suleman Ahmad Tudu, Senior Special Assistant on Media, reflects the administration’s commitment to combating insecurity through community participation and the establishment of a robust financial foundation for security initiatives.
