BREAKING: Military Kills Another Notorious Bandit Leader, Several Fighters

Nigerian security forces have neutralized a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Makore, along with several of his fighters in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria. The operation took place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, along the Kwankele Road in the Magami area of Gusau Local Government Area.

Renowned counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, confirmed the news on Wednesday morning. According to Zagazola, Makore and his men were reportedly on their way to retrieve the body of fellow bandit leader, Kachalla Sani Black, who had been killed earlier in the Dan Sadau area of Maru Local Government Area.

Sani Black had been neutralized in Magama Mai Rake, a notorious hotspot for bandit activities in the region.

“Kachalla Makore rose to prominence following the death of his predecessor, Kachalla Damuna. He was infamous for orchestrating criminal operations around Kangon Garacci village in the Dan Gulbi area, also within Maru Local Government Area,” Zagazola reported.

This successful operation is part of ongoing efforts by Nigerian security forces to dismantle the leadership of bandit groups and curb violent crime in the Northwest region.

The elimination of Makore marks yet another milestone in the government’s campaign against terrorism, banditry, and organized crime in the region.
