BREAKING: Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Umo Eno Passes Away

The Akwa Ibom State Government has confirmed the unexpected passing of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Pastor Umo Eno. The sad news was shared early Friday by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, in an official statement titled “Unexpected Sunset.”

According to Ememobong, the First Lady passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, following an illness, the details of which have not yet been disclosed. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments at the hospital.

“It is with heavy hearts that we, the Akwa Ibom State Government, announce the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. The family submits to the will of the Almighty and asks for prayers and support during this difficult time,” the statement read.

The family has requested privacy as they grieve their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, and noted that further details will be provided as necessary.

Governor Umo Eno expressed his deep appreciation to all who have supported the family during this period of loss. Despite this personal tragedy, he assured the people of Akwa Ibom that his commitment to serving the state remains steadfast.
