APC’s Time is Up, Nigerians Will Vote Them Out in 2027 – Kwankwaso

The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in the 2027 elections. Kwankwaso, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, made this statement on Thursday while receiving a large group of defectors from the APC at his residence on Miller Road, Kano.

Kwankwaso argued that Nigerians, particularly in the northern region, are disillusioned with the current state of affairs under President Bola Tinubu’s administration and will not accept the continuation of its policies beyond 2027.

“Nigerians, especially northerners, have suffered enough, and no amount of pressure or intimidation will change their resolve,” Kwankwaso said. He further emphasized that the APC-led government has failed the masses, adding, “The current dispensation clearly opposes the interests of the poor, and it’s now evident that no change will come under this government. The attempts to use security forces and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to influence future elections will not succeed, as Nigerians are fed up and will demand change.”

Kwankwaso also pointed to the increasing number of defectors from the APC to the NNPP, particularly from key areas such as Dala, Kiru, Gwale, and Dawakin Tofa local governments, as evidence of the APC’s weakening grip on power. He described the shift as historic, noting that the APC’s structure in these regions has crumbled.

He went on to criticize the APC, stating that it was originally established to alleviate the suffering of the masses but has now contributed to worsening insecurity and poverty. “Nigerians are tired and cannot endure this hardship beyond 2027,” he added.

Among the defectors who joined the NNPP were APC members from significant areas of Kano State, including Dawakin Tofa, the hometown of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, as well as Dala, Kiru, and Gwale local government areas.
