Katsina: 36 Families of Deceased Police Officers Receive ₦27 Million

The Katsina State Police Command has distributed a total of ₦27,485,644.79 to 36 families of police officers who lost their lives while serving in the line of duty.

The disbursement took place on Friday, October 11, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. The funds were provided through insurance benefits under the Group Life Insurance, Group Personal Accident, and IGP Family Welfare Insurance schemes.

CP Musa expressed his appreciation to the IGP for his ongoing support of the families of fallen officers. He urged the recipients to make prudent use of the funds to improve their livelihoods.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Najib Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the financial assistance, pledging to utilize the funds responsibly.

This initiative is part of the police force’s broader commitment to supporting the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
