BREAKING: ZASIEC Announces Date for LG Elections in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) has officially set November 16, 2024, as the date for the local government council elections across the state. Speaking at a press briefing in Gusau, the state capital, ZASIEC Executive Chairman, Bala Aliyu Gusau, provided key details about the upcoming elections. Gusau also announced that voting on election day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., ensuring an eight-hour window for eligible voters to cast their ballots. He further stressed the importance of adherence to election guidelines, highlighting the need for public employees who intend to run for office to resign from their current positions at least 30 days before the election.
