Banditry: Zamfara Governor Leads Security Council Meeting

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, presided over a critical state security council meeting on Tuesday, focusing on the ongoing fight against banditry that has ravaged various parts of the state. The meeting brought together top security officials and stakeholders as they strategized on strengthening efforts to curb the persistent violence.

Governor Lawal, during the meeting, expressed optimism about the progress being made in suppressing bandit activities across several areas. He commended the security forces for their relentless efforts and acknowledged the crucial role played by local communities in providing valuable intelligence that has led to successful operations.

“We are making significant strides in ensuring peace and stability in Zamfara,” Lawal said, noting that collaboration between the government, security agencies, and local residents has been instrumental in pushing back against the bandits.

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to restoring lasting peace and security in the state, emphasizing that the fight against banditry requires sustained efforts and unity among all stakeholders.
